Instructions
- 1 Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Spread sushi rice evenly over it.
- 2 Arrange fillings (like avocado, cucumber, crab stick, or salmon) in the center.
- 3 Roll tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing edges with a little water.
- 4 Prepare tempura batter by mixing flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and cold water. (For extra crunch, coat in panko breadcrumbs after battering.)
- 5 Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip sushi rolls in batter and fry until golden and crispy (about 2–3 minutes).
- 6 Remove, drain on paper towels, and slice rolls with a sharp wet knife.
- 7 Serve hot with soy sauce, spicy mayo, or wasabi.
